Sky Law Group Community Safety Scholarship — $1,000 Annual Award

At Sky Law Group, we believe that education is one of the most powerful tools for building safer communities. Every day, our attorneys see the devastating impact that car accidents have on families across Orange County and throughout California. That’s why we’re proud to offer the Sky Law Group Community Safety Scholarship — a $1,000 annual award designed to support students who are passionate about making our roads and communities safer.

Scholarship Details

  • Award Amount: $1,000
  • Number of Awards: One (1) per year
  • Deadline: August 31, 2026
  • Winner Announced: September 30, 2026
  • Disbursement: Paid directly to the winner’s accredited college or university

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Sky Law Group Community Safety Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled (or accepted for enrollment) as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Be in good academic standing at the time of application

How to Apply

To apply for the scholarship, please submit the following materials to scholarship@skylawgroup.com:

  1. Completed application form — Include your full name, email address, phone number, current school name, expected graduation date, and major/area of study.
  2. Essay (750–1,000 words) — Answer the following prompt: “What steps can communities, lawmakers, or individuals take to reduce car accidents and improve road safety in California? How would you personally contribute to this goal?”
  3. Proof of enrollment — A copy of your current student ID, unofficial transcript, or enrollment verification letter.
  4. Brief biography — A short paragraph (3–5 sentences) about yourself, your academic goals, and why road safety matters to you.

Selection Criteria

Applications will be reviewed and evaluated based on:

  • Quality and originality of the essay
  • Relevance to the topic of community safety and accident prevention
  • Writing ability — clarity, grammar, and persuasiveness
  • Demonstrated commitment to making communities safer

Terms and Conditions

  • Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the winner’s accredited educational institution.
  • The scholarship is non-renewable but previous applicants may reapply in subsequent years.
  • By submitting an application, applicants grant Sky Law Group permission to use their first name, last initial, school name, and essay excerpts for promotional purposes.
  • Employees and immediate family members of Sky Law Group are not eligible.
  • All application materials become the property of Sky Law Group and will not be returned.
  • Sky Law Group reserves the right to modify or cancel the scholarship at any time.
